Internship position within Global Markets Business Management. The purpose of the role is to support Global Markets Sales and Structuring activities in the following main areas:

  • Oversee the 1st line of defence framework.
  • Prepare Management Information on control results/issues.
  • Perform daily and monthly controls related to KYC requirements.
  • Contribute to the 1st line of defence Governance (Business Control Committees, Retail Distribution).
  • Identify, raise and monitor the remediation of operational incidents and client complaints.
  • Monitor the financial performance of its activities.
  • Contribute to the coordination of support functions to ensure alignment with business needs/strategy.

Main Responsibilities

  • Supervision and Control: Contribute to risk assessments: identification of key risk areas and corresponding control framework, review and remediation of gaps in coordination with Compliance, Conduct and Risk functions. Participate in the design, review and production of management information related to the control framework. Contribute to the oversight of investigations and action plans for operational incidents and client complaints. Contribute to the oversight of business continuity plans and business impacts assessments. Participate in the organisation of Business Control Committees: supporting documentation, minutes, actions follow-up. Participate in the design and update of procedures and guidelines. Assist in coordinating the business lines engagement with external requests (such as ad-hoc regulator requests or visits) or internal requests (Audit, Internal Controls). Perform daily, monthly and annual controls related to specific UK regulatory requirements (KYC, Consumer Duty…). Review the results of controls performed by other functions/departments in London or in other locations in relation to GM UK Sales & Structuring activities.
  • New Products / New initiatives: Assist business in triggering and monitoring the NPNA process. Participate in the design of dedicated procedures and controls for new activities. Follow up completion of conditions related to approved activities/products.
  • Financial and Commercial Monitoring: Provide support for the preparation of quarterly business reviews and yearly budget processes. Contribute to specific initiatives on client segments by providing commercial indicators on performance, x-selling, onboarding, credit limits and legal documentation. Monitor commercial intensity and ensure good use of the CRM. Assist in drafting senior management presentations and reports.
  • Project Management: Assist in implementing GM projects in relation with the front to back stakeholders: encompassing Business Support, Risks, Compliance, IT, Finance, be these in London, Paris or in any other location. Get all parties in synchronisation to contribute fully to the development of GM Sales & Engineering. Build business cases Project Planning: with all stakeholders, preparation of to do lists of specific tasks, set the required resources, milestones, deadlines and expected deliveries. Project execution & tracking. UAT & implementation. Help Global Market Sales & Structuring in drafting core operating procedures. Issue identification and resolution.
