Responsibilities

  • Assistance with month-end fast close process for the NIMI ELAME region, including coordination and support across the following BDUs: UK, Dubai, Germany, Switzerland, Netherlands, Spain, and LATAM.
  • Work with and help manage third-party accounting relationships while providing support and finance oversight over the BDUs in ELAME.
  • Arrange quarterly/monthly meetings with the TPAs in each region/BDU.
  • Assist in monitoring budget across BDU, organise quarterly meetings with BDU heads to discuss and review budgets.
  • Be a point of escalation for BDUs with regards to accounts payable and expenses.
  • Compliance and Controls: Ensure compliance with Group policies, UK accounting standards, and local statutory requirements; support internal audit requests.
  • Reporting: Prepare or assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports; assist in the preparation of statutory financial statements as required.
  • Tax and Governance: Assist with VAT/Tax compliance, transfer pricing, and regulatory filings. Liaise with external and internal auditors as needed.
  • Process Improvement: Identify process inefficiencies; contribute to simplification and standardization of financial processes across ELAME.
  • Data Integrity: Maintain accurate master data in systems; support data validation and integrity checks.
  • Ad hoc Projects: Participate in regional finance initiatives, system implementations, and process improvement projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in English is required. Additional European languages are a plus.
  • Relevant accounting experience is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent) and financial reporting tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, v-lookups).
  • Ability to handle large data sets, perform reconciliations, and ensure data integrity.
  • Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills; ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Works effectively with colleagues across regions and functions.
  • Takes ownership of tasks and meets deadlines.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic multinational environment.
  • Strong focus on accuracy, controls, and compliance.
