Overall purpose of the role:
- Assist the Head of Conduct & Culture Europe at the bank’s London Branch with research, presentation preparation, and support in day-to-day activities.
- Contribute, coordinate, or lead key firm initiatives within conduct & culture.
- Coordinate and document key conduct committees.
Main responsibilities and duties of the role:
- Working in close and confidential collaboration with the Head of Conduct & Culture Europe.
- Employee Recognition Scheme (Points & Perks): Take ownership of the internal employee recognition system Points & Perks with the support of the Head of Conduct & Culture Europe. Liaise with HR to update the list of employees and upload points & perks. Liaise with the software provider Workstars. Record and track the culture metrics for usage and engagement of the system. Monitor and suggest improvements to the perks offered. Run engagement surveys and compile results.
- Conduct Risk Assessments: Assist in preparing the required folders, files, and questionnaires ahead of interviews. Book meetings with stakeholders. Take detailed notes and produce summaries of risk interviews. Track status of progress, sign off, and completion of action points. Help prepare presentations to the relevant BCC by synthesising the risk themes.
- Training: Assist with research and brainstorming of ideas for training content. Liaise with HR for a current and relevant list of employees. Liaise with Communications regarding producing and sending invitations. Manage diary. Assist with tracking attendance.
- London Conduct Committee (LCC) & EMEA Conduct Committee: Prepare the agenda. Collect MI data and liaise with stakeholders for collection of data, background information, and analysis. Assist with producing the conduct & culture dashboard. Assist with developing and enhancing the dashboard. Horizon scanning for conduct news in the market. Assist with producing the quarterly presentation. Coordinate the agenda with key stakeholders. Take notes and produce minutes. Update the action log.
- Culture: Support the Head of Conduct & Culture Europe in the design and implementation of initiatives contributing to the promotion of the bank’s culture and values, including inclusion surveys, training, and D&I initiatives.
- Global Projects: Support the Head of Conduct & Culture Europe in any global project requiring involvement from a conduct & culture standpoint.
- Audit Points: Track and report on conduct & culture audit points.
- General: General admin: management of folders, diary management, follow up with stakeholders.
JOB REQUIREMENTS - KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Good understanding of Investment Banking or Capital Markets activities, ideally acquired through previous internships or apprenticeships in Bank, Asset Management, Hedge Fund, Consultancy/Strategy Group.
- Graduate/Post Graduate degree.
- Strong PowerPoint, Excel, and Word skills.
- Power BI, Power Automate skills or Excel programming skills would be an added advantage.
- Ability to produce synthesis and convey straight-to-the-point communication, including committee minutes.
- Ability to make presentations in a concise and articulate way.
- Proactive, able to work autonomously, reliable.
- Inquisitive mind and interest in learning.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to deal with people at all seniority levels.
- Fluent in English.
- 1-2 years experience preferred.
