The predicted salary is between 20000 - 30000 £ per year.
Overall purpose and main responsibilities and duties of the role: To support the London Infrastructure & Energy Finance team in the origination and execution of project and infrastructure finance transactions consistent with the Bank’s ongoing strategy. The role will cover all aspects of the business line including debt arranging and advisory across the sectors that Infrastructure & Energy Finance is active in, i.e. social, transport and environment, power and renewables, natural resources, mining and telecoms.
Main responsibilities and duties of the role:
- Responding to the requests and preparation of indicative offers and/or pitches for advisory and debt arranging.
- Supporting internal transaction processes (internal systems, client vetting transaction analysis, etc.)
- Analysis of credit risk in lending opportunities and preparation of credit applications.
- Financial modelling in support of advisory mandates and where necessary on transactions.
- Undertaking necessary due diligence on deals.
- Liaising with other relevant parts of the bank where appropriate i.e. syndicate, risk dept, middle office, etc.
- Undertaking any specific project or front-offices duties as required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS - KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Some structured finance knowledge and familiarity with project finance business.
- Good financial modelling capability with ideally experience of building financial models from scratch and managing models for project finance transactions.
- Strong communication skills, including written, verbal and presentation.
- Good reporting writing and pitch preparation skills essential.
- Strong credit analysis skills and formal credit training.
- Adaptability and flexibility.
- Ability to frequently work within strict time constraints.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
