native has been building for 10 years, but we’re still very much a startup: fast-moving, ambitious, and building with intent. We’re creating the infrastructure that connects students, Students' Unions, universities, and advertisers through a managed marketplace. Our goal is to deliver for students by increasing student engagement while enabling Students' Unions to secure sustainable funding. For advertisers, we offer meaningful, measurable routes to student audiences. The more aligned these incentives are, the more defensible and scalable our business becomes.
The Opportunity
As a Growth Account Manager, you will own and grow a portfolio of advertiser accounts within a defined category (for example FMCG, Retail, Travel, Recruitment, Tech, Entertainment or Property). You won’t just manage accounts; you will build genuine category expertise. Over time, you will develop a deep understanding of your sector's buying cycles, budgets, priorities and performance metrics, becoming a trusted advisor to both clients and internal teams. Your core focus is retention and expansion. Many clients currently under-invest relative to their potential in the student market. Your role is to unlock that growth through insight-led conversations, strong commercial planning, and confident ownership of revenue outcomes.
What you’ll be working on:
- Own and grow a category-aligned book of business, with clear revenue and retention targets
- Build structured account plans that map growth potential and expansion pathways
- Identify opportunities to increase share of wallet and drive incremental revenue
- Run quarterly business reviews with priority accounts
- Pitch, negotiate and close new revenue opportunities within your portfolio
- Build strong relationships with marketing managers and brand teams
- Develop category expertise and share insight internally to improve propositions
- Partner closely with Campaign Management to ensure high-quality delivery
- Maintain accurate pipeline management and forecasting through CRM systems
What we’re looking for:
You’ll bring vision, structure, and operational discipline to a fast-growing function. You know how to scale people-driven operations and balance commercial priorities with quality, compliance, and culture. Specifically, you will bring:
- Experience in sales or account management, ideally within media, advertising, experiential, events or B2B services
- Confidence owning commercial relationships, including pricing and negotiation
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple accounts effectively
- Ability to build tailored proposals that address client challenges and objectives
- Commercial curiosity; you actively look for ways to grow accounts, not just maintain them
- Resilience and accountability, with a track record of delivering against targets
- A genuine interest in developing sector expertise and becoming a subject matter specialist
Required skills & experience:
We are committed to lifting everyone up. We seek to enable people's best work by optimising for freedom with accountability. You’ll get the most out of this role if you can bring:
- Commercial Ownership
- Strategic Growth Mindset
- Senior Stakeholder Confidence
- Resilience & Drive
- Collaborative Accountability
- Experience in operating in travel, transport or entertainment preferable
What’s in it for you:
- Pension contributions of 5%
- 25 days off (excluding bank holidays)
- Share Options for all
- Work from home set-up budget
- Season Ticket Loan Scheme
- Paid maternity, paternity, adoption or shared parental leave
