We’re looking for a strategically connected Business Development Manager based in or near Cambridge, to unlock opportunities within its world-classhealthtech, biotech, pharma and academic communities.

This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of health-focused design at Native, driving partnerships with early-stage ventures, established MedTech companies, and research institutions across the UK’s leading biomedical cluster.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and lead new business activities in Cambridge’s MedTech and life sciences ecosystem – from startups to global players in diagnostics, digital health, medical devices, and pharma.
  • Forge relationships with decision-makers in companies based on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus, university spin-outs, and innovation hubs.
  • Spot and qualify opportunities that align Native’s multidisciplinary capabilities – from UX for medical software to industrial design for diagnostics and wearable devices.
  • Collaborate with our design, engineering and strategy teams to create compelling, context-aware proposals.
  • Represent Native at Cambridge-focused networking events, health tech accelerators, and sector-specific conferences.
  • Contribute to evolving our business development strategy within the UK’s golden triangle (Cambridge–Oxford–London).

Your profile

  • Proven experience winning business in design, innovation, MedTech or life sciences – ideally with prior exposure to Cambridge-based ecosystems.
  • A strong and active network across the regional MedTech, health, or research community.
  • Strategic and commercially sharp – able to identify where and how design creates clinical, regulatory or patient value.
  • A natural connector and relationship-builder, energised by turning conversations into collaborations.
  • Excellent communication and proposal-writing skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to grow something meaningful within a small, ambitious team.
