Octane, Inverness, is seeking an experienced Land Rover Technician to join the team. Applicants will ideally be NVQ Level 3 Vehicle Technician qualified, have main dealer experience and be able to work unsupervised to an extremely high standard to ensure all vehicles are maintained and repaired to the highest level.
As a WildTrax Vehicle Technician / Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and servicing our entire fleet of Land Rovers, including customer vehicles. You will also undertake vehicle road testing and will be responsible for ensuring vehicle parts are ordered, handled, and stored appropriately.
As a skilled vehicle technician, you must possess the skills and knowledge to undertake minor and major mechanical faults (including engine repairs) and return vehicles to manufacturer specifications and standards.
Responsibilities will include:- Carry out diagnostics, service, and repair of vehicles to an excellent standard.
- Carry out routine vehicle service and maintenance, inspecting components for wear and tear and documenting all findings.
- Test potentially faulty parts, diagnosing any issues and resolving faults.
- Support the internal departments in the preparation and maintenance of cars.
- Perform work with efficiency and accuracy.
- Be able to communicate repairs and issues to management while controlling the part ordering process.
- Work effectively with colleagues and be a team player.
- Undertake other routine jobs and help where required.
We are looking for a true team player that shares our passion for Land Rover, you will bring:
- Completion of an NVQ Level 3 Vehicle Technician or equivalent qualifications.
- A full UK Driving licence.
- Great communication skills with the ability to liaise with colleagues.

- A mindset that prioritises health and safety matters.
- Previous main dealer experience though we will consider candidates from all backgrounds who have experience of working in the Automotive sector as a Vehicle Technician, Mechanic, HGV Mechanic or MOT Tester.
