We are looking for a Senior Analyst for Marketing Operations and Capability to join the Personalisation team within the Group Customer Communications (GCC) function. We are on an exciting journey to transform our capability to deliver personalised performance marketing. We are embarking on a strategy that will see us uplift the technology we use for marketing and transform how we use data to deliver personalised experiences for our customers. You will be working in a Centre of Excellence that ensures the smooth operations of the Personalisation team, playing a crucial role in improving our capability from a marketing technology and platform perspective. You will be responsible for supporting and optimising our marketing data estate from a business perspective. Working closely with others across the wider Personalisation and Customer Marketing teams, as well as our transformation and technology colleagues. We are happy to consider flexible working approaches to help you perform at your best. For this job, you'll spend at least two days per week at our Swindon office; hybrid working is supported.
What you’ll be doing:
- Ensure today’s and tomorrow’s marketing data is readily available and fit for purpose.
- Enhance operational processes using automation and support building operational excellence, helping teams understand the data they use.
- Develop and maintain reports using SQL, SAS Viya and Power BI to enhance visibility and capability of our Marketing Data Estate.
- Provide insight and help the team understand technical concepts that drive our data vision and strategy, aligning to business objectives.
- Support the team in ensuring our data is well managed, governed, timely, and understood.
- Oversee operational processes that support our Design and Delivery team so they can focus on building interactions.
- Work with the central technology function to resolve data issues and ensure smooth data pipelines and reporting methods.
About you:
- Excellent understanding and experience of using data in a marketing/analytical function, and experience of data lifecycles including onboarding new data and data management.
- Understanding of how operational teams are responsible for the production and monitoring of multiple data sets, using an assortment of technologies including Pega CDH.
- Excellent technical knowledge of SQL, SAS and Power BI and how they can enhance automation.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables, working effectively across a matrix team.
- A proactive, collaborative and solution-oriented approach with the ability to support complex change projects and highlight opportunities for further improvements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on innovative and practical solutions.
- Good working knowledge of Data Protection Legislation (e.g. UK GDPR and PECR) and how it applies to marketing communications.
