We are seeking a People Services Administrator to join the HR Lifecycle Services team within People Services. As a People Services Administrator, you will be involved in the administration of a wide range of HR transactional activities. Role holders are expected to have excellent organisation skills and be comfortable communicating with all colleagues with differing levels of seniority. You will be able to work independently and as part of a team and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. We are happy to consider flexible working approaches to help you perform at your best.
The working hours for this role can be between 32 and 35 hours. This is a 9-month secondment opportunity. At Nationwide, we offer hybrid working wherever possible. For this job, you'll spend at least two days per week, or if part-time, you'll spend 40% of your working time based at our Swindon office.

What you’ll be doing:
- You’ll be working closely with your colleagues in the People Function to ensure a seamless end-to-end employee lifecycle experience.
- You will also be managing your own workload whilst prioritising appropriately to achieve deadlines and SLAs.
- Liaising with relevant stakeholders, building strong, lasting relationships while administering a range of HR transactional activities.
- You’ll also be responding to general enquiry emails within agreed SLAs, operating within GDPR and in accordance with FCA/PRA regulatory requirements and ensuring accuracy of keying within PeopleCloud.
- Ensuring a high standard of customer service by proactively working with the immediate and wider People teams is another responsibility, as is resolving day-to-day enquiries, issues and complaints, investigating where necessary to achieve a full resolution.
About you:
As a minimum you’ll need:
- Experience supporting colleague or customer queries in a policy-led environment, using guidance and judgement to provide clear, consistent support.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, being able to effectively communicate up to and including senior managers.
- Act with integrity to manage confidential and sensitive cases with the utmost professionalism.
- Ability to analyse information from a range of sources.
- Well-rounded collaboration skills, being able to build strong working relationships with the wider HR teams to ensure a seamless service delivery.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritise workload.
- Experience and a proven background of working within a Shared Services delivery role.
