We have an exciting opportunity for a hands-on Lead Business Analyst to join us here in the Mortgages Chief Information Office, in our Virgin Money Integration Value Stream. This role sits under CT (Customer Technology), part of the wider Chief Operating Office department, which is responsible for delivering IT solutions that have our customers and colleagues at heart.
Our Virgin Money Integration Value Stream is a growing team, and you’ll be joining at its infancy. We’ll expect you to be hands-on where you will be collaborating with and influencing senior stakeholders designing and delivering business solutions that add significant value, to achieve business success and help us meet our customer needs.
As a Lead Business Analyst in this fast-paced area, you will be accountable for providing strong, visible leadership, coaching and support to a team of analysts, ensuring they have the correct environment to thrive and deliver. You will also work closely with the Virgin Money Integration Leadership Team and wider stakeholder groups to ensure that analysis activity is to time and quality, supporting our overall ambitious drive for excellence.

What you’ll be doing:
A key priority for this role is to provide support to ensure your analysis team are able to perform at their very best, day in day out. You will do this by having relevant experience under your belt and you’ll be using your business analysis or solution design knowledge to identify solutions that achieve the best business outcome, influencing technology and business resolutions with confidence and innovation while taking into account any external factors and dependencies.
You will lead a team of Business Analysts ensuring that their work is estimated, scheduled, prioritised and meets quality expectations. You will use your strong communication skills to engage with diverse change team participants and establish influential relationships with business stakeholders and the leadership team. You’ll be using your own initiative in this role and required to work with a proactive mindset and aim to identify, accelerate and resolve issues/risks.
As a Lead Business Analyst, you’ll strive for continuous development in your work and the work of your team, identifying areas for improvement throughout the lifecycle of an initiative.
About you:
You will have/be:
- A strong understanding of Nationwide’s Mortgage Products & associated technologies
- Strong leadership skills with proven experience of leading a team across small and large-scale initiatives
- The ability to accommodate differing needs of multi-disciplined and geographically dispersed teams, consisting of internal and external resources e.g. third-party suppliers, remote colleagues and contractors
- Extensive experience of working within a senior or lead business analysis role including task and line management
- Experienced at prioritising, sequencing and sizing Business Analysis activities
- Strategically focused, with experience of developing roadmaps, identifying Business Value and supporting the funding processes
- Proven analytical skills in defining business outcomes, defining the business requirements, operational designs and supporting end-to-end delivery
