This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast paced, dedicated team who deal with the day to day reconciliations of the Society’s financial transactions. Your responsibilities will include managing the balancing and exception handling for a suite of accounts, as well as challenging the efficiency and effectiveness of processes. For this job you'll spend at least two days per week, or if part time you'll spend 40% of your working time, based at either our Swindon or Bournemouth office.

As a Financial Reconciler, you'll play an important role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. You'll manage a varied workload that includes daily reconciliations, investigating exceptions, and resolving queries, while developing the skills to support colleagues across the wider team when required. You'll work closely with the Financial Reconciliations management team and key stakeholders to identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance efficiency, and support the delivery of our Reconciliations of the Future vision.
As a minimum, you will:
- Have a proven interest in finance
- Have demonstrable experience of using Excel in a professional capacity
- Have a basic understanding of accounting and can demonstrate an understanding of reconciliation processes
- Enjoy tackling challenges and solving complex problems with creativity and analytical thinking
- Be confident in your decisions, take ownership, have good attention to detail
- Be quick to learn new processes and adaptable to changing priorities
- GCSE Mathematics at Grade B/6 or higher, or a comparable qualification demonstrating an equivalent level of numeracy
