This is an exciting opportunity to work within the Group Customer and Communications community. You’ll be optimising website content and supporting digital marketing activity across Nationwide and The Mortgage Works, for our Intermediary and Landlord audiences. Our ambition in the Intermediary & Landlord Brands and Marketing Team is to maximise our brands, build relationships and drive engagement with audiences and corporate partners. We seek to drive deep and meaningful relationships, support intermediaries and landlords with their mortgage challenges and position our brands as thought leaders in the mortgage market.
This is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract opportunity. At Nationwide we offer hybrid working wherever possible. More rewarding relationships are supported through our hybrid approach, bringing colleagues together across our UK wide estate, whilst also supporting generous access to home working. We value our time in the office to solve problems, to learn, and to feel connected. For this job you'll spend at least two days per week, or if part time you'll spend 40% of your working time, based at either our Swindon, London, Glasgow or Bournemouth office. If you’re based at our Glasgow office, this will apply from 1 April 2027 and ahead of that there will be a need to regularly connect with colleagues for collaboration events.

Responsibilities
What you’ll be doing: You'll work across both Nationwide and The Mortgage Works within our Intermediary & Landlord team, helping to deliver integrated marketing activity that supports intermediary and landlord audiences. As our Digital Marketing Consultant, you'll play a key role in ensuring our digital channels provide effective, engaging experiences for customers. You'll be responsible for the ongoing optimisation of our websites, using analytics, insight and performance data to review customer journeys, campaign pages and content. You'll identify opportunities for improvement, make recommendations that drive better outcomes, and report on key website metrics to support continual enhancement. Working across campaigns and integrated projects, you'll help shape website strategy by understanding requirements and using customer insight to influence content, page structure and user experience. You'll also build webpages that support marketing activity and create clear, useful digital experiences for our audiences. Alongside this, you'll monitor SEO performance, identify opportunities to improve search visibility and content quality, and provide guidance on PPC activity to ensure digital marketing remains aligned across channels. You'll manage competing priorities effectively, delivering high quality work accurately, efficiently and at pace.
About you
As a minimum you’ll have:
- Experience using insight and analytics tools to identify opportunities and improve performance
- Confidence in reporting on key metrics, campaign activity, trends and anomalies, turning data into actionable recommendations
- Experience supporting campaigns, from gathering requirements through to shaping content, design and delivery
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the confidence to lead conversations and provide constructive challenge
- The ability to manage multiple priorities, navigate ambiguity and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
- A proactive, organised and collaborative approach, building strong relationships and taking ownership of outcomes
- A user and business-focused mindset, balancing customer needs with commercial and strategic objectives
- Experience working within a large marketing function or regulated environment would be beneficial
- Experience of the following systems would be useful: Sitecore, Jira, Adobe Analytics, Conductor SEO
