The IT Infrastructure & Service Delivery (IISD) function within Nationwide is pivotal in the Society\βs technological and operational transformation. It is a dynamic and integral part of the Chief Operating Office (COO), responsible for delivering Nationwide\βs strategy and blueprint through its strategic investment portfolio. This includes enhancing system resilience, introducing new technology and improving colleague and customer experience.
This involves simplifying the IT application estate and enhancing the digital experience for colleagues and customers.
The function also provides infrastructure, networking, and end-user products and services, along with the support capabilities that underpin them. This includes hosting infrastructure, networking services, colleague collaboration tools, and provisioning of colleague devices.

Responsibilities
What you\βll be doing
You will work within the hosting value stream, collaborating with multi-skilled teams to deliver change initiatives using both traditional waterfall and agile methodologies whilst developing, managing and executing detailed project plans as well as schedules and budgets.
You will own and lead all Data Centre Infrastructure change for Hosting; the role will oversee and coordinate changes to address end of life risks in data centres, ensuring future capacity is planned to meet business needs, that ongoing housekeeping is maintained and that strategic improvements are implemented to support operational resilience and modernisation.
About you
As a minimum you\βll have :
- Extensive experience of delivering data centre infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of both waterfall and agile delivery frameworks
- Ability to manage complexity and deliver results at pace
- An expert in change delivery (waterfall and agile)
- Strong communication, influencing, motivational and leadership skills
