We have a unique opportunity within our Quality Checking team in Economic Crime Strategy for a talented and ambitious individual to come and join our mission to protect the Society against Economic Crime.

This role is in a department with an outstanding reputation, captivating subject matter and industry leading results that will see you reacting to ever changing methods of economic crime, whilst striving to deliver exceptional member experience.

For this role we require an individual who has experience in Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) Anti Money Laundering (AML) case types.

Responsibilities

What you’ll be doing

As a Controls Assessor (QC), you will be responsible for undertaking quality checks on cases worked primarily (but not exclusively) in the EDD AML teams in order to identify potential risks to the Society.

This will involve checking investigations into suspicions of money laundering processes as well as checking detailed customer risk assessments that have been undertaken on members utilising multiple internal and external data sources, making recommendations relating to the future management of these relationships in line with internal risk appetite.

You will be responsible for providing feedback to the operational teams of findings within the QC assessment.

As part of this role you will be learning new processes across the QC function to continuously evolve ability to complete QC on various workstreams.

However, you undertake your work, the purpose will always be the same – protecting the Society from Economic Crime.

About you

As a minimum requirement you must have:

  • Good knowledge of Economic Crime, specifically AML workstreams for Enhanced Due Diligence case types.

  • Excellent investigation experience, inclusive of data analysis and decision making.

  • The ability to produce quality documentation and reporting.

  • Strong time management, prioritisation, and organisation skills.
