We’re looking to appoint a Senior Trainer to join us and play a key role in delivering an exciting strategic transformation across our Collections and Recoveries function. Working collaboratively with colleagues across Virgin Money and Nationwide, you will support the delivery of meaningful improvements that enhance how the operation performs and serves our customers.

Our Collections and Recoveries team is investing significantly in strengthening the end-to-end operation from policy and processes through to risk and controls, quality assurance, training, communication, and management information. These enhancements will ensure the function is fit for purpose within an increasingly complex and evolving regulatory landscape, where customer needs often require tailored and sensitive solutions. With positive customer outcomes at the heart of everything we do, this transformation will also create a more engaging and supportive experience for colleagues across the front-line operation.

At Nationwide, we offer hybrid working wherever possible. More rewarding relationships are supported through our hybrid approach, bringing colleagues together across our UK-wide estate, whilst also supporting generous access to home working. We value our time in the office to solve problems, to learn, and to feel connected.

For this job, you'll be located at our nearest regional hub. There will be a need to regularly connect with colleagues for collaboration events in one of our office sites. This is anticipated to be in Glasgow, Gosforth or Leeds. If your application is successful, your hiring manager will provide further details on how this works.

Nationwide is committed to the redeployment of our employees impacted by change, as such applications for redeployment candidates will be prioritised in this recruitment process. If you’re a colleague on long-term absence (for example, on parental leave) or a temporary worker, please use your personal email address to submit an application.
