The Production Manager is the operational engine of the Brand, Social, Content & Employer Communications team. This role ensures all production across campaigns, social channels, brand storytelling and employer brand runs smoothly, efficiently and on budget. You’ll oversee production management, from scoping and scheduling to supplier coordination, set up, logistics, permissions, risk management and delivery.
Working closely with the team and external partners, you’ll help the team bring bold ideas to life with operational excellence. We are happy to consider flexible working approaches to help you perform at your best. This is a 6 month secondment opportunity. At Nationwide, we offer hybrid working wherever possible. For this job, you’ll spend at least two days per week, or if part‑time, you’ll spend 40% of your working time, based at either our Swindon, London or Bournemouth office.

What you’ll be doing
You’ll manage budgets with a strong focus on cost control, forecasting and optimisation. By owning supplier set‑up processes, and relationships across Procurement you’ll ensure all onboarding, performance management and POs are handled with excellence. You’ll need to track spend against budget and ensure transparent, accurate financial reporting.
Production & Delivery
Supporting on all aspects of production delivery across multiple content streams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget and to brand standards. You’ll support all shoot logistics and preparations, including planning, scheduling, meeting set ups, resourcing and on‑the‑day coordination. Maintain production calendars and oversee daily delivery status across all live projects across all aspects of the brand.
Operational Excellence & Ways of Working
Build, maintain and continuously improve efficient production workflows, templates, processes and operational standards. You’ll develop and manage operational tools such as reports, dashboards, management information (MI) and production documentation.
Stakeholder Management
Partner closely with the wider Brand, Social, Content & Employer Communications teams to improve ways of working, tooling and documentation. You’ll need to manage expectations across stakeholders, proactively resolving issues and maintaining alignment on priorities and delivery timelines. You’ll be the central operational point of contact for queries and escalation.
Dashboards and performance
Maintain production dashboards and status reporting using tools such as Jira, PowerBI and project management systems. You’ll support operational excellence and planning for the wider Brand, Social, Content & Employer Communication team. You’ll lead on monthly reporting across the team and track and report on KPIs related to all team output.
About you
As a minimum you will have/be:
- Proven experience in managing budgets, suppliers and procurement processes, including Coupa
- Proven experience with technology tools such as Power BI and Jira for planning, tracking and reporting
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to run multiple complex productions simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills with confidence managing diverse stakeholders
- A solutions‑focused mindset with the ability to anticipate issues and proactively resolve them
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high‑quality delivery
