We have an exciting opportunity for a Multi-Skilled Tradesperson to join our Retail field team covering the Midlands.
Your role will be to provide expert maintenance within stores, reacting to requests for repairs to ensure a safe environment for our customers and colleagues.
You will work closely with the R&M Helpdesk Team and our Health & Safety colleagues to complete work efficiently and to a high standard.
You should have experience in plumbing, paving, carpentry, decorating, drainage and plastering.
This role will require extensive travel across the regions, with regular overnight stays.
This will allow you to maximise your time in store, completing jobs in an effective and efficient manner.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the R&M Helpdesk Team, Health & Safety to ensure the safety of our customers and colleagues.
- General property maintenance
- To undertake repairs within stores to the best standard
- Advising on best course of action for long lasting results
- Working proactively to resolve maintenance issues within stores
- Clean fascia’s, entrance lobby's, plant areas and interiors
- Renew and replace signage for POS
- Replace and repair fixtures, fittings and plant benches
- Replace toilets, taps, sinks, clearing blockages, ironmongery etc.
- Reporting any risks to R&M and Health & Safety team
- Mentoring junior members of the team and ensuring they are compliant with processes
- Maintenance of van stock tools and equipment
- Safe storage of hazardous chemicals in company vehicle
- Ensuring company provided uniform and PPE is worn as appropriate
- Provide regular feedback to the Head of Construction & Maintenance on progress
- Ensure company vehicle is well maintained, cleaned and undertake weekly safety checks with any defects being reported
