We are looking for a permanent, full‑time (35 hours per week, Monday to Saturday) Customer Representative for our branch in Gravesend. A 45‑minute commute from the branch is required. The starting salary is £26,500 (minimum from 1 July 2026).

Key responsibilities

  • Welcome customers into the branch and understand their needs, offering trusted and friendly help.
  • Handle a range of transactions and queries accurately while keeping customer needs, security and fairness front of mind.
  • Guide customers through banking products and services that are right for them, helping them manage their money with confidence.
  • Work closely with colleagues in a busy branch environment, supporting one another to deliver excellent customer service even at peak times.
  • Follow processes, spot potential issues and raise concerns when necessary to protect customers and the company.
  • Support face‑to‑face banking being meaningful and accessible on the high street.

Required skills and qualities

  • No prior banking experience required, but experience in a customer‑service environment or a passion for helping people is preferred.
  • Strong communication, patience, empathy and people skills to understand customer needs.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, adapt quickly and remain calm under pressure.
  • Comfortable using technology and digitally savvy.
  • Team‑oriented mindset, building great customer experiences through collaboration.
