Within Business Banking, the Business Lending Products team sits at the heart of the lending experience, supporting UK businesses to grow and flourish by delivering compelling lending propositions that evolve with customer needs.

As a Product Manager in the Business Lending Products team, you will play a leading role in the management and development of products that put customers first. You will play a key role in driving the product review programme, identifying opportunities to enhance products and processes, and ensuring alignment with customer needs, the external landscape and the internal operating environment.

Working end-to-end across design, delivery, and performance, you will deliver high-quality analysis and insight, supporting effective product management, reporting and governance. In this fast-paced environment, you will collaborate across Group Business Banking and beyond to solve complex product and business challenges, manage and implement change and develop practical, value-driven solutions.

If you’re based at our Glasgow office, this will apply from 1 April 2027 and ahead of that there will be a need to regularly connect with colleagues for collaboration events.

The Business Lending Products team is a proactive, innovative, and growing function responsible for developing, implementing, managing, monitoring, and reporting on the Business Lending product suite. Operating across the end-to-end product lifecycle, the team plays a critical role in ensuring products remain fit for purpose for customers and aligned to regulatory standards. We set high standards, ensuring every decision starts and finishes with the customer in mind, challenging the status quo and delivering at pace and with quality.

As a minimum you’ll have:

  • Experience working as a product manager, product owner, or in a similar role managing products and delivering change
  • Experience in managing end-to-end reviews of complex products and/or processes
  • Demonstrated ability to put customers at the heart of decision-making, by applying strong analytical skills and using insights to shape products and journeys
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver outcomes that ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Experience in preparing high-quality papers for relevant forums and committees, supporting informed product-related decision making in line with governance and regulatory requirements
  • Working knowledge of the UK regulatory environment, including Consumer Duty and its impact on product design and delivery
