Are you passionate about helping people grow, develop and achieve their potential? Do you enjoy creating opportunities that build capability, support career progression and help colleagues thrive?
We're building a new Business Banking Engagement team and are looking for a Colleague Engagement Lead Manager to lead our Talent and Career Development agenda.
This is an exciting opportunity to shape how we attract, develop and retain talent across Business Banking. You'll be responsible for creating and delivering programmes that help colleagues build successful careers, deepen their skills and prepare for future opportunities.
From mentoring and coaching programmes to graduate and early careers initiatives, talent development schemes and career pathways, you'll play a key role in ensuring our colleagues have the support, opportunities and experiences they need to succeed.
Working closely with leaders, People teams and Learning & Development colleagues, you'll help build a strong pipeline of talent while creating an environment where colleagues can develop fulfilling and rewarding careers.
The Business Banking Engagement team brings together colleague communications, events, culture, engagement, learning and talent development.
Our purpose is to create a connected, informed and high-performing colleague experience that helps people do their best work and supports the delivery of our business strategy.
Talent development is a key part of that ambition. We're committed to helping colleagues grow their capabilities, develop their careers and realise their potential at every stage of their journey.
Are you an experienced events leader who understands how to turn a business strategy into an experience people can see, feel and remember? Can you create events that strengthen customer relationships, build colleague pride and give leaders a powerful platform to communicate? Do you combine creative thinking with the operational discipline needed to deliver complex events brilliantly?
Business Banking is entering an exciting period of transformation and growth. We’re building a new Engagement team to help colleagues and customers understand our strategy, connect with our ambitions and feel part of what comes next.
Events will play a vital role in bringing that strategy to life.
You’ll lead the strategic planning and delivery of high-profile internal and customer events across Business Banking. This will include colleague conferences, leadership engagement, customer conferences, roundtables, sector events, relationship events and significant business milestones.
This is an opportunity to shape a new events capability, establish high standards and create experiences that deliver meaningful business, customer and colleague outcomes.
The Events team will create one strategic view of Business Banking events, ensuring activity is purposeful, coordinated and aligned with the wider business strategy.
The team’s remit spans colleague events, customer events and leadership engagement. This includes all-colleague calls, conferences, customer roundtables, sector events, relationship events, speaking engagements and other significant internal and external appearances.

If you’re based at our Glasgow office, this will apply from 1 April 2027 and ahead of that there will be a need to regularly connect with colleagues for collaboration events. Reporting to the Head of Engagement, you'll lead the development and delivery of the Business Banking talent and career development agenda. You’ll develop and deliver a Business Banking talent strategy that supports both colleague development and future business capability needs, while designing and implementing programmes that help colleagues build skills, broaden experience and progress their careers.
