We're looking for someone with recent experience of our Savings & Current Account products, processes and systems, ideally gained within Operations or a branch network role. You'll be a confident communicator who can work independently, manage multiple priorities and bring a strong analytical mindset with a natural aptitude for problem-solving. If you're passionate about delivering great outcomes for customers and keen to develop your product expertise, we'd love to hear from you.
At Nationwide we offer hybrid working wherever possible. We value our time in the office to solve problems, to learn, and to feel connected. For this role, you'll be based at your nearest regional office or hub. We value time spent together to connect with colleagues for collaboration so there will be a regular requirement to attend our Leeds, Glasgow or Newcastle site approximately once per quarter. If you are based at an office location, you'll be expected to meet our hybrid working requirement of at least two days a week, or 40% of your working time if part-time, in the office.
If you’re based at our Glasgow office, this will apply from 1 April 2027 and ahead of that there will be a need to regularly connect with colleagues for collaboration events. If your application is successful, your hiring manager will provide further details on how this works.
Responsibilities:
- You'll work alongside Product Managers to support the delivery of initiatives that enhance member outcomes, support business objectives and simplify the way we work.
- This includes helping to develop and implement delivery plans, contributing product expertise and supporting strategic projects that bring our priorities to life.
- Collaborating with teams across the Society, you'll build a strong understanding of our products, policies, processes and systems, helping to ensure effective controls are in place to protect both members and the business.
- You'll also support the ongoing management of our product portfolio through a range of business-as-usual activities, ensuring products remain effective, compliant and aligned to customer needs.
- Working closely with colleagues across Retail, Marketing, Digital, Legal, etc, you'll play a key role in resolving issues, identifying opportunities for improvement and helping to implement solutions that strengthen our processes and enhance the member experience.
This is a varied and rewarding role that offers the opportunity to make a real impact while developing your knowledge and expertise.
About you:
- Recent experience working with Savings & Current Account products, processes and systems within a financial services environment.
- Experience in Operations, Retail Banking or a branch network role, with a practical understanding of customer journeys, operational processes and regulatory requirements.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and deliver accurate, high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
- Confident collaborating with stakeholders and the wider team (both verbally and in writing).
- Competent in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint in order to analyse data sets and present findings.
