Making a meaningful difference for our customers, every day. As a Customer Representative, you will make a real impact from day one, supporting customers in person, over the phone and online. You’ll help with everyday transactions, answer queries, and guide customers toward banking services and digital tools that simplify managing their money.

This role is a permanent, part‑time position, working 21 – 24.5 hours per week, Monday‑Friday. The minimum salary from 1 July 2026 is £26,500, with pay pro rata for part‑time hours. You must be within a 45‑minute commute of the branch. Our first three weeks of training are critical; no holiday may be taken during this period. Once a job offer is made, the exact start date will be confirmed.

Responsibilities
  • Welcome customers into the branch, understanding their needs and offering friendly, trusted help.
  • Handle a range of transactions and queries accurately, keeping customer needs, security and fairness at the forefront.
  • Guide customers through banking products and services that suit their circumstances.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in a busy branch environment, supporting one another to deliver excellent service even during peak times.
  • Follow processes, spot potential issues and, when necessary, raise concerns to protect customers and the bank.
  • Maintain the accessibility and value of face‑to‑face banking on the high street, ensuring customers feel supported, respected and confident.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Experience or passion for customer service; banking experience not required.
  • Ability to demonstrate pride in helping customers feel confident, supported and listened to during busy or complex situations.
  • Patience, empathy and strong interpersonal skills to understand customer needs.
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment with shifting priorities.
  • Calm under pressure, adaptable, and positive when facing change.
  • Confidence using technology and digital tools.
  • Team player who recognises that great customer experiences are built through strong collaboration.
  • Clear, natural communication across face‑to‑face, telephone and digital channels.
