Overview

Branch Manager – Dovercourt, Essex. Permanent, full-time (35 hours per week, Monday to Saturday). Candidates must live within a 45‑minute commute from the branch.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and train the branch floor team to deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Manage branch performance, meeting FCA standards and achieving the business plan.
  • Monitor and analyse branch activity to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Maintain knowledge of all products and services and promote them to customers.
  • Use the bank’s computer systems and processes efficiently, as trained.
  • Support the management team and participate in training programmes.

Qualifications

  • Experience managing people in a busy retail environment.
  • Understanding of commercial banking, financial regulations and FCA requirements.
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, able to handle fast‑paced change.
  • Proven ability to monitor branch metrics, spot opportunities and drive improvement.
  • Previous branch‑manager experience is desirable.
