Responsibilities
What you’ll be doing
You will take a discovery-led approach to understanding Nationwide’s learning data landscape, working with stakeholders to explore reporting needs, identify data gaps, map existing processes and understand the challenges created by multiple platforms, providers and data sources. This will include reviewing data from internal and external sources such as LXPs, HR systems and learning vendors, building a clear view of current reporting activity and future opportunities.
Using this discovery work, you will shape practical recommendations, test ideas and pilot BI solutions that improve how learning data is collected, validated, analysed and shared. You will develop scalable processes and data governance standards that strengthen data quality, integrity and confidence in the insight produced.
You will lead the development of more integrated, automated and sustainable reporting solutions, translating complex datasets into meaningful insight that supports strategic decision-making and regulatory reporting. Acting as a subject matter expert for accurate and actionable BI, you will design and maintain dashboards and reporting solutions, using automation, Copilot and analytical tools to streamline reporting activity, create always-on insight and move the organisation towards a single source of truth for learning data.
About you
As a minimum, you will have/be:
-
Excellent experience in business intelligence, data analytics, reporting or insight roles, ideally including experience of regulatory reporting
-
Demonstrable experience in data modelling, interrogation, automation and analysis across data from multiple systems, with a strong focus on data and insight quality, and attention to detail
-
Confidence building automated and sustainable reporting solutions including PowerBI dashboards, using Microsoft 365 tools, Copilot and other analytical tools to improve efficiency and accuracy
-
Knowledge of data governance and data privacy policies and processes as they relate to personally identifiable information (PII)
-
Ability to challenge assumptions, simplify existing processes and identify duplication, inefficiency or opportunities for improvement across reporting activity
-
Excellent organisation, stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and independently to deliver high-quality outputs within agreed deadlines
