About the Company

Nationwide Utilities is an energy consultancy working with major organisations to make smarter, more commercially effective and more forward-thinking energy decisions. We support clients ranging from data centres and infrastructure-heavy businesses to large multi-site organisations with increasingly complex operational and procurement needs. We are also building OASIS, the Online Automated Site Information System, a platform designed to change the way users interact with technology in energy management. AI is embedded across Nationwide Utilities and used throughout day-to-day work to improve speed, clarity, insight and delivery. We equip our team with AI tools and expect people to use them thoughtfully as part of how we operate, build and solve problems.

Role Summary

We are looking for a Product Manager to help bring structure, coordination and momentum to the next stage of OASIS and related internal initiatives. This role is suited to someone who is strong at turning ideas into organised work, connecting people across a business, and helping shape projects that are still evolving. This is not a narrow project administration role. It sits across commercial ideas, internal workflows, customer needs, user journeys, interface thinking and technical delivery. The person will work closely with the founder and technical lead to help translate vision into practical projects, clearer priorities and better day-to-day execution. At this stage, some parts of the wider client experience are still delivered through people, process and manual intervention. This role is therefore not just about software. It is about helping improve the overall delivery model, customer experience and platform itself.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate projects linked to OASIS and related internal initiatives
  • Help turn commercial ideas, operational challenges and founder vision into practical project plans and next steps
  • Document current workflows across teams, tools and processes
  • Identify opportunities to improve, standardise or better connect delivery processes
  • Support the ongoing development of OASIS by helping define requirements, capture user needs and shape priorities
  • Map customer journeys and user flows across both digital and people-led touchpoints
  • Help think through interface structure, user experience and how different users should interact with the platform
  • Act as a link between leadership, technical contributors and operational teams
  • Gather insight from internal users, clients and stakeholders where needed
  • Translate meetings and discussions into clear actions, requirements, notes and plans
  • Track delivery progress, priorities, blockers and dependencies
  • Support service improvement across both platform and people-led delivery
  • Use AI tools confidently to improve organisation, speed and quality of work

Candidate Profile

This role could suit someone currently working as a Product Manager, Project Lead, Product Coordinator, Business Analyst, Delivery Coordinator, Operations Project Manager or in a similar role. They do not need to come from a pure product background. What matters more is the ability to understand complexity quickly, ask good questions, organise information clearly and help turn evolving ideas into practical progress. They should also be comfortable thinking about customer experience, user journeys and how a platform should work in practice for different types of user.

Required Experience / Skills

  • Project coordination or delivery experience in a business with multiple moving parts
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to structure information, actions and requirements clearly
  • Experience working across business, operational and technical stakeholders
  • Comfortable using software tools, digital workflows and AI-enabled ways of working
  • Able to manage detail without losing sight of the bigger picture

Preferred Experience

  • B2B services, software, infrastructure, utilities, operations or workflow-heavy environments
  • Product, service design, transformation or systems improvement work
  • Customer journey mapping, user flows, UX thinking or interface planning
  • Jira or similar task / project management tools
  • Energy sector knowledge is useful but not essential

Who This Role Will Suit

This role will suit someone who enjoys bringing order to complexity, turning vision into action, and working across people, process and technology rather than sitting inside a narrowly defined function. It will not suit someone looking for a highly structured corporate role, a mature product environment, or a job where everything is already fully defined.

Seniority Level: Mid-level

Role Keywords: Project Lead, Delivery Lead, Business Analyst, Product Coordinator, Junior Product Manager, Operations Project Manager, Service Design, Workflow Improvement, Transformation, Process Improvement, Cross-functional, Jira, B2B, SaaS, Platform, Infrastructure, Utilities, AI tools
