We’re seeking an enthusiastic Advertising & Media Data Analyst with strong numeracy and data skills to join our Marketing Effectiveness, Analytics and Brand Performance team. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in media and creative strategy with proven experience working with large datasets to derive insight. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders, internal teams, and agencies to assist the team in providing strategic direction on brand and communications to the business.

This role is part of our Marketing Effectiveness, Analytics, and Brand Performance team. The team is responsible for assessing the performance of our brand and communications. We provide strategic direction to the business on improving and optimising communication plans to enhance brand growth. Additionally, we handle executive reporting, delivering regular performance updates to the Executive Committee and Board to inform the strategic direction and planning of our brand and marketing strategies.

What you’ll be doing

As an Advertising & Media Data Analyst, you will be responsible for analysing data from media, creative and brand research projects as well as external sources to identify key market shifts and understand our own campaign performance. You will assist Insight and Research Managers to translate data into compelling stories and presentations to inform strategic direction. Additionally, the successful candidate will be required to proactively keep up to date on media trends and changes across the industry.

About you

As a minimum requirement you\'ll have/be:

  • Degree educated with a Bachelor\'s degree in a numeracy or research-based field
  • Demonstrable experience in industry working with large datasets and interpreting results
  • A strong interest in media planning, buying, and advertising research
  • Exceptional Excel skills (pivot tables, complex formulas, attention to detail)
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively within teams
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills
