We are seeking a skilled Saw Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess experience of working within the metals industry, particularly steel bars. As a Saw Operator, you will play a critical role in the process, ensuring that all components are cut accurately and efficiently to meet production specifications. Predominantly this will be working on saws, but with scope to work on sheet & plate guillotine.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate saws and other cutting equipment to cut materials to specified dimensions.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Pack jobs ready for despatch.
  • Collaborate with team members.

Skills:

  • Proficient in use of bandsaws.
  • Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
  • Ideal forklift / overhead crane experience.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Work Hours: 8am to 5PM - Monday to Thursday, 8am - 4PM - Fridays

Compensation: Upon successful completion of the probationary period, the successful candidate will be in the company pension and also the company bonus scheme.
