We are looking for an experienced Sheet Metal Worker to join our stainless-steel team. You’ll be responsible for cutting sheet and plate materials to size using industrial guillotine machinery. This role suits someone who values accuracy, safety, and consistent production quality.
Responsibilities
- Machine Setup and preparation of guillotine equipment
- Precision Cutting of stainless‑steel sheet and plate to exact measurements
- Quality Inspection using callipers, tape measures, and other tools
- Material Handling including loading, positioning, and moving sheet metal safely
- Routine cleaning, lubrication, and basic maintenance of machinery
- Adhering to all workshop safety procedures and PPE requirements
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience operating a guillotine or similar cutting machinery
- Knowledge of stainless‑steel grades and cutting behaviour
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Reasonable level of mathematics
- Confident working to tight tolerances
- Strong awareness of workshop safety
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or within a team
- Experience with guillotines, press brakes, laser cutting, or general sheet‑metal / steel environment
- Overhead crane or forklift certification (1 year + preferred)
- Sheet metal experience (1 year + preferred)
