Trainee Fall Protection Engineer
Standard hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Time and a half for any hours outside of these times (evenings, early mornings, weekends)
Flexibility is essential — some nights away from home, weekend work, and night shifts will be required

NSS Group is offering an exciting opportunity to train as a Fall Protection Engineer within our NSS Testing division — a team that inspects, services, and maintains essential height safety systems nationwide.
We’re looking for someone who’s comfortable up high, hands‑on, and ready to learn a specialist trade with fantastic long‑term potential.
What You’ll Do:
- Service, maintain, and repair fall protection equipment such as:
- Fall arrest and life safety lines
- Eyebolts (fall restraint and abseil)
- Guardrails, gantries, walkways, and ladders
- General lifting and access equipment
- Highlight and report any further remedial works needed
- Ensure all work complies with British Standards and Health & Safety regulations
- Support other teams across the business where required
Who We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience working at height (roofer, rope access, scaffolding, etc.)
- Good communication, attention to detail, and strong work ethic
- Full driving licence
- Smart, professional, and safety‑conscious
- Comfortable working independently or as part of a team
