The Estimating function at NSS plays a critical role in supporting the delivery of tenders and quotations across the business. Working closely with internal teams, suppliers, and sub-contractors, the team ensures accurate, timely, and compliant submissions that support our nationwide operations.
We’re looking for an Estimating Support Administrator to support our estimating team by managing administrative processes, coordinating quotation documentation, and maintaining accurate records. This is a detail-focused role, ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, documentation, and deadlines while acting as a key point of coordination between estimators and stakeholders.
Your job will include:
- Assisting estimators with the preparation, formatting, and submission of quotations and tender documents
- Maintaining and updating the estimating database, ensuring accuracy and consistency
- Tracking and logging incoming quote requests and monitoring deadlines
- Organising and archiving completed quotes and supporting documentation
- Liaising with clients, suppliers, and internal departments to gather information required for quotes
- Contacting sub-contractors to obtain timely quotations and feedback for estimators
- Coordinating site visits and meetings for the estimating team
- Responding to general enquiries relating to quotes and tenders
- Producing reports on quote volumes, win/loss ratios, and estimator activity
- Supporting analysis of quoting trends and performance
- Ensuring compliance with internal procedures and document control standards
- Identifying opportunities to streamline estimating processes and improve efficiency
- Supporting the development and maintenance of estimating templates and tools

Experience / Personal Attributes Required:
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Confident written and verbal communication skills
- Competent IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Experience with CRM or estimating software is desirable but not essential
- Previous experience in an administrative or support role
