Overview: We are looking for a Service Estimator to produce accurate and timely quotations based on engineer service reports, customer requirements, maintenance recommendations, and asset lifecycle needs. The role plays a key part in converting identified service opportunities into revenue through the preparation of repair quotations, maintenance contract renewals, and proposals following warranty expiration. You would be working closely with the Service Engineers, Operations, Account Managers, and customers. The Service Estimator ensures all recommendations are reviewed, costed, quoted and tracked through to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reviewing engineer service reports to identify remedial works, repairs, upgrades and replacement opportunities.
- Preparing accurate and timely quotations for customers.
- Obtaining supplier and sub-contractor pricing where required.
- Following up quotations and customer enquiries to support strong conversion rates.
- Managing maintenance agreement renewals and upcoming contract expiries.
- Monitoring equipment warranties and presenting ongoing maintenance options before expiry.
- Supporting customers with asset lifecycle planning and appropriate replacement recommendations.
- Maintaining accurate quotation, renewal and customer records within company systems.
- Reporting on quotation activity, renewals and conversion performance.
- Working closely with Service Engineers, Operations, Account Managers, suppliers and customers.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Experience within a service administration, estimating, facilities management, engineering support, or maintenance environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness.
- Experience producing quotations and managing customer enquiries.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Ability to interpret engineer reports and technical information.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
