Due to the Company’s continued success, we are looking to expand the Business Development Team in Kidderminster and are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Business Development Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career and become a valued member of the team. You should be positive and enthusiastic having the ability to provide the client with a premium service and the capability to work independently or within a team when required.

This is an excellent opportunity to enhance your career within the security and communications industry. You would be required to proactively sell the company’s full portfolio of integrated Fire Alarm and AOV solutions to both new and existing customers. You will need to have excellent communication skills.

The role involves:

  • Proactively research, identify and convert new business opportunities
  • Optimise the cross-selling of all other group solutions
  • Production of budget designs and quotations as required
  • Working with our design department to ensure full compliance with the client’s specification/requirements
  • Build and maintain business relations with key clients
  • Build relations with new clients to ensure growth
  • Ensure quotations are delivered within the deadlines provided
  • Production of sales reports and forecasts
  • Collaborate with our Business Development Teams in Kidderminster, Mansfield, Birmingham and Nottingham
  • Carrying out site surveys as and when required
  • Communicate and build successful working relationships with customers and other employees

Key experience / Qualifications:

  • You will need to be an accomplished Sales and Design Consultant with a proven track record within the industry
  • You will have a good working knowledge of regulatory requirements, compliance standards and British Standards
  • Excellent IT skills and a familiarity with Microsoft packages are essential
  • You will have a track record of working to and exceeding your KPIs
  • Have a keen interest in technology and providing solutions that are cost effective and profitable
  • You will be a team player with ambition
  • Be able to communicate and build successful working relationships with customers and colleagues
  • Excellent inter-personal skills with a pro-active work ethic
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills with attention to detail
  • You will have an excellent understanding of BS5839 parts 1 & 6, Requirements of the RRFSO, BS7273-4, BS9999, BS9991, Approved Document B etc

  • Ability to operate effectively under pressure to rapidly changing circumstances
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Well organised, have self-discipline and be able to meet deadlines
  • Have the desire to learn and continually improve your knowledge

We will offer the following package:

  • Working hours: Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 5.00pm (Permanent)
  • Salary: Competitive salary dependant on skills, experience, and qualifications
