What You’ll Need:

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care – Children & Young People’s Services (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience managing a children’s residential care home
  • Strong understanding of OFSTED standards, safeguarding procedures, and regulatory frameworks

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure full compliance with OFSTED regulations and Quality Standards
  • Lead, mentor, and support your team with consistency and compassion
  • Build trusted relationships with families, local authorities, and external agencies
  • Champion best practices in safeguarding, care planning, and reporting
  • Drive continuous improvement and maintain a homely, child-centred environment

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Children & Young People’s Services (or equivalent)
  • Recent experience in residential childcare within the last 5 years
  • Experience supervising, managing, or mentoring staff
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation:
  • Children’s Homes (Quality Standards 2015)
  • Children’s Homes Amendment Regulations 2011
  • Care Standards Act 2000
  • OFSTED frameworks and policies
