Looking for experience/qualification in jewellery/silversmithing, will suit someone who has a background as a Silversmith/Production assistant/Jewellery Maker - Precious Metals - Based in Birmingham City Centre.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a jeweller/jewellery maker/silversmith to work for a niche business in a small team.

Background or education/training in metal work, silversmith, goldsmith, semi-precious metals or precious metals advantageous.

ROLE:

  • Producing and manufacturing silver and semi-precious metal pieces using skilled production/silversmith methods.
  • Using silver, precious metals using labour-intensive manufacturing and craftsmanship.
  • The main purpose of this role is to maintain high standards of production and crafting working in a team of production staff in a successful tooling/instruments environment.
  • The team are easy to get along with, motivated and ensure production targets are met, high standards are achieved, and any improvements are introduced.
  • Ensuring health and safety as well as maintaining stock levels.

Requirements:

  • Must have training or education or experience of silver, gold, metal production/manufacturing.
  • Enthusiastic and positive team player.
  • Happy to do a labour-intensive manufacturing role.
  • Happy with a very precise role making small articles by hand with multiple small parts, can be fiddly but rewarding work!
  • Be able to coordinate various parts of a manufacturing process.

The role is accessible by train or bus and based in central Birmingham. This may suit someone who has a background or studied in manufacturing production or metal work or as a silver smith, silver worker, gold smith or other metals.
