We’re looking for a talented Accessories Maker / Leatherworker to join our client’s luxury manufacturing studio in the heart of Birmingham’s iconic Jewellery Quarter. This role is ideal for someone experienced in hand‑crafting small goods such as pencil cases, purses, bags and premium accessories, using both traditional and modern techniques.
We welcome applicants from a wide range of making backgrounds, including Leatherworker, Leather Artisan, Accessories Maker, Bag Maker, Small Goods Maker, Soft Goods Maker, Stitching Craftsperson, Pattern Cutter, Handcrafted Accessories Maker, Artisan Maker, Studio Maker, Leather Goods Maker, Accessories Fabricator, Cutting & Stitching Artisan, Handmade Goods Maker, Leather Production Assistant, Craftsperson – Bags & Accessories, Artisan Bag Maker. If you have experience producing handmade small goods with precision and pride, we’d love to hear from you.
What you’ll be doing:
- Hand‑crafting premium pen and pencil cases for a global luxury client base
- Cutting, stitching, shaping and finishing small goods to an exceptional standard
- Working with traditional tools and techniques in a modern artisan workshop
- Ensuring every piece meets strict quality, finish and brand expectations
- Collaborating with a small, friendly team of skilled makers
What we’re looking for:
- Experience as a Leather Worker, Bench Worker, Craftsperson, or similar maker
- Confident with hand‑stitching, edge finishing, pattern work, saddle stitching and small‑goods assembly
- Strong attention to detail and pride in producing beautiful, durable products
- A steady hand, patient approach, and genuine love for craft and benchwork
- Ideally someone with artisan skill, hand‑crafted expertise, traditional craft techniques, heritage making skills, fine leatherwork, precision hand‑crafting, saddle stitching, needlecraft, sewing by hand, sewing machines, bench craftsmanship, small leather goods (SLG) experience, and premium hand‑finishing skills
