As Depot Manager at the Taunton depot, you'll be responsible for leading a successful local depot operation, delivering outstanding customer service while driving operational performance, profitability and growth. This is a visible, hands-on leadership role where you'll be right in the thick of the action. You'll build strong customer relationships, lead from the front and create a culture where every colleague keeps the customer at the heart of what we do. What You'll Be Responsible For Leading a safe, compliant and customer-focused depot operation. Delivering depot revenue, profitability and operational targets. Driving a customer-first culture throughout the depot team. Building strong relationships with local customers and resolving issues quickly and professionally. Identifying opportunities to grow market share and local business performance. Coaching, developing and motivating colleagues to create a high-performing team. Managing fleet, people and operational resources to meet customer demand. Using performance data and KPIs to drive continuous improvement. Ensuring the depot operates safely and efficiently while delivering excellent customer service. What You'll Bring Leadership experience within a depot, branch, rental, logistics, transport, engineering or customer-facing operational environment. Experience managing budgets, controlling costs and delivering profitable growth. Strong customer relationship and local business development skills. A customer-focused, entrepreneurial mindset. The ability to motivate others, create accountability and inspire performance. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. A proactive, hands-on approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Confidence using financial and operational data to make good business decisions.
