We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Regional HR Business Partner to join the HR team at Nationwide Platforms. Nationwide Platforms is a fast-growing commercial business, and as we continue to go from strength to strength, we are proud to be a support function integral to its growth.

Reporting into the HR Director and working closely alongside other HRBPs, Regional Advisors and the centralised HR Shared Service function, you will be responsible for managing the HR contribution for a specific region and division within the organisation. As HR Business Partner your role will be to support the midterm plan and strategic objectives within your region/division, through effective operational and strategic solutions.

Based in the South East area your territory covers Uxbridge, West Thurrock, Luton & Kent. We are looking for someone who isn’t opposed to a little travel, as engagement with all locations within the region is key, but also able to do nationwide travel from time to time. You must be CIPD qualified, have proven HR generalist experience, a credible influencer and communicator and have strong commercial business awareness. This role is a flexible hybrid position which can be based at any of our depots within the region at least 3 days a week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implementation of the Group UK Annual People Plan and supporting KPIs.
  • Ownership of the Region/Business Unit annual performance appraisal process and ensure the process continues to drive performance to meet business needs through ongoing review.
  • Play an active role in employee engagement activities across the business.
  • Lead and drive HR projects as required from time to time, working with the Wider HR Function and stakeholders across the Business and its effectiveness within the business.
  • Drive the effective delivery of change initiatives within Region/Business Unit areas of responsibility.
  • Provide advice to the Regional Management team in the development of resourcing, succession and recruitment plans.
  • Work in conjunction with the Regional Directors to develop business plans/structure change plans as required to improve the effectiveness of the regional structures.
  • Provide Consultancy and advice to line managers and employees in HR matters and change programmes.
  • Provide first line management advice and support with regard to all HR matters, in line with company policy and local employment law.
  • Manage regional headcount within budget requirements and constraints.
  • Contribute to the formation of HR policies to support the needs of the business.
  • Ensure key HR KPIs are measured and achieved.
  • Able to understand business performance and understand what is required to positively contribute to the overall success of the business, based on what will have the biggest impact on the P&L.
  • Able to anticipate future business requirements based on regional trends/internal dynamics.
  • Understands and has experience of developing and responding to the needs of manpower plans.
Qualifications/Experience
  • Qualified HR Professional (CIPD qualified).
  • Demonstrate the ability to challenge, build credibility and work with integrity at all levels within the organisation to influence change.
  • Coaching.
  • Proven generalist HR experience and knowledge across all functions including Performance Management, ER, Reward and Succession planning.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • A strong understanding of commercial business requirements.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise workloads.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to be flexible in relation to work locations at short notice.
  • Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills.
Rewards and Benefits:
