We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced National HR Advisor to join the team at Nationwide Platforms. As a fast-growing commercial business, we pride ourselves on supporting our growth through a dedicated HR function.
Reporting to the Head of HR Operations and working closely with the HR team, you will provide first-line advice and support on all people-related issues to our UK operational business, ensuring compliance with internal policies and current legislation. Your responsibilities will include staff welfare, administration, and strategic planning to support our Field HR Business Partners.
You will also be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting HR data, generating reports, and providing insights to support workforce planning, talent acquisition, and employee retention initiatives. Ideally, candidates should be based in the Midlands or within reasonable commuting distance to our main depot hubs, with a willingness to travel nationally as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting line managers with Employee Relations cases, including disciplinaries, grievances, and performance issues.
- Monitoring absence and advising managers on appropriate actions.
- Providing training and coaching to managers.
- Assisting in interpreting policies and procedures.
- Responding to and resolving HR enquiries within SLAs.
- Making informed decisions considering facts, goals, and risks.
- Supporting HR projects and drafting relevant documentation.
- Promoting equality and diversity within the organization.
- Liaising on staff performance and health and safety policies.
- Maintaining employee records and documentation.
- Supporting HR planning strategies with HRBPs.
- Developing and implementing HR initiatives and systems.
- Analyzing and reporting HR data regularly.
- Developing HR dashboards and visualizations for workforce insights.
- Understanding and utilizing HRIS systems effectively.
- Contributing to process improvement activities.
- Handling DSAR requests and ensuring data privacy compliance, including GDPR policies.
Qualifications and experience required include CIPD qualification (desirable), HR/Employee Relations experience, HRIS reporting skills, knowledge of GDPR, strong MS Office skills, organizational abilities, problem-solving skills, and confidentiality.
