We are currently recruiting for a Fire & Security Trainee Engineer to join a national employee-owned and highly respected fire and security company in the Newcastle region. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has basic electrical or maintenance skills looking to start a career in the fire and security industry, with a comprehensive modular training program and regular quarterly incremental pay increases as modules are completed.
This is a hands-on role assisting with the service and maintenance of fire alarms and fire safety systems. You will work alongside experienced engineers and be put on a training program, with classroom-based training modules to help you develop your skills and knowledge across a variety of fire safety systems.
The Trainee Engineer Role Includes:- Assisting with servicing and maintenance of fire alarm and fire safety systems
- Supporting engineers with testing, fault-finding, and system handovers
- Learning the relevant industry standards and application of BAFE procedures requirements
- Working across commercial projects throughout the Newcastle region
- Some experience or training in fire, security, electrical, or engineering work
- Enthusiasm to learn and develop within the fire and security industry
- Professional, reliable, and proactive approach
- Full clean UK driving licence
- Good communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team
- Competitive salary £25k-£28k DOE
