Are you driven by data, collaboration, and a desire to help teams deliver exceptional customer experiences? We’re seeking a Workforce Performance & Productivity Consultant to play a key role in shaping the future of Retail Services through insightful analysis, meaningful engagement, and strong operational delivery. In this role, you’ll lead small to medium initiatives that strengthen colleague engagement and embed a culture of service excellence, using insight to guide Retail teams toward the priorities that matter most.
Working across multiple functions, you’ll build effective partnerships, support channel owners with clear action plans, and deliver concise, impactful reporting and communications that align with business goals. We welcome applications from colleagues across all functional areas, recognising the value of an analytical mindset, strong data interpretation skills, and confident senior stakeholder management. Whether your background is customer-facing or from another part of the organisation, we appreciate the unique insight and experience you can bring to the role. Your perspective matters, and we encourage you to apply and help shape our continued success.
We are happy to consider flexible working approaches to help you perform at your best. The working hours (per week) for this role can be between 28 and 35 hours. This is a 12-month secondment opportunity. At Nationwide, we offer hybrid working wherever possible. More rewarding relationships are supported through our hybrid approach, bringing colleagues together across our UK-wide estate, whilst also supporting generous access to home working. We value our time in the office to solve problems, to learn, and to feel connected. For this job you'll be located at our nearest regional hub. There will be a need to regularly connect with colleagues for collaboration events in one of our office sites. This is expected to be once quarterly in London.
If your application is successful, your hiring manager will provide further details on how this works. Nationwide is committed to the redeployment of our employees impacted by change, as such applications for redeployment candidates will be prioritised in this recruitment process. If you’re a colleague on long-term absence (for example, on parental leave) or a temporary worker, please use your personal email address to submit an application.
Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll plan and deliver a wide range of activities that support key projects and operational priorities, including report production, data analysis, modelling, communications, and colleague engagement. You’ll use data and insight to shape Retail Channel action plans, creating and refining high‑quality deliverables such as Management Information (MI) packs, reporting suites, communications, and supporting documentation. A key part of the role involves identifying opportunities to improve processes and ways of working while collating and tracking MI to monitor progress, ensuring strategic objectives are met, and highlighting emerging risks or opportunities.
Collaboration will be central to your success, as you’ll work closely with departmental teams in agile, matrixed, and Business-As-Usual (BAU) environments, partner with Senior Managers and Heads of Department to secure input and approvals, coordinate with other internal teams to deliver cross‑functional initiatives and engage with third‑party suppliers where necessary to support project delivery.
