In this role, you will be part of a team responsible for designing and building solutions in Axiom that support existing and new regulatory requirements, liaising with stakeholders from across the business to provide support, issue resolution, advice, and guidance to ensure Nationwide Building Society maintains its excellent reputation for regulatory submission. The role sits within the Axiom solution team in the Finance division, Future Capabilities & Operations, responsible for ensuring all project delivery and support is provided to allow Nationwide to submit accurate, timely regulatory returns.

For this job you'll spend at least two days per week, or if part time you'll spend 40% of your working time, based at either our Swindon or London office. If you are aligned to our Glasgow hub (as this is your nearest location), there will be a need to regularly connect with colleagues for collaboration events. This is anticipated to be once a month in Glasgow.

Responsibilities:

  • You will be acting as part of the development team in the designing, building and testing of solutions built using Axiom, ensuring the successful submission of Regulatory returns.
  • Working closely with end users and other team colleagues, you will act as a point of contact and subject matter expert, consult on change requests, and participate in projects.
  • This requires a collaborative and coordinated approach to ensure high-quality solutions are delivered on time alongside colleagues from the Finance and Treasury business areas, and across Finance Capabilities & Operations teams.
  • Additionally, you’ll be using your problem-solving skills to identify issues and work these through to root-cause, whilst ensuring the required policy and process is adhered to.

About you:

  • Well-developed analytical abilities which you will use to perform testing on complex solutions.
  • A reputation for delivering to a high standard, on time.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills on all levels and attention to detail.
  • The ability to prioritise a wide range of projects and initiatives.
  • The ability to coordinate and delegate work effectively.
  • Previous Axiom Development experience.
  • Knowledge of Regulatory Reporting.
