The Websites Team are responsible for all aspects of the Nationwide website estate – Nationwide.co.uk, Nationwide for Intermediaries, The Mortgage Works and the product pages in the internet bank and the app. You will be playing a pivotal role in ensuring Members receive a simply brilliant experience every time they interact with us online. We’re looking for a curious, motivated, and insight‑driven Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) Analyst who’s excited by the challenge of unlocking growth through data. This role offers the opportunity to dig into performance, uncover opportunities, and shape strategies that elevate our organic search visibility, traffic, and conversions. You’ll play a key role in driving impact across the business, collaborating closely with content creators, developers, and marketing teams to ensure SEO is at the heart of our digital success.

What you’ll be doing:
- As an SEO Insights Analyst, you will be responsible for analysing organic search data, monitoring performance across key metrics, and producing insight‑led recommendations that support sustainable SEO growth.
- You’ll do this by translating complex data into clear, meaningful insights for stakeholders and collaborating closely with content, product, development, and marketing teams to help shape effective SEO strategy and decision‑making.
About you:
- Proven analysis and insight experience with a large B2C multi‑channel business, using relevant tools and methods to source and analyse data from multiple sources.
- Experience working in the e‑commerce division of a large‑scale consumer retail organisation.
- Demonstrable experience working in a hands‑on SEO position.
- Strong understanding of search engine algorithms, ranking factors (including Core Web Vitals, EEAT, and off‑site signals), traditional SEO best practices, emerging AEO/GEO optimisation techniques, and website performance metrics.
- The ability to build dashboards and interpret complex datasets using tools like PowerBI.
- Experience using SEO tools like Brightedge, SEMRush and Conductor.
- Proven performance reporting experience, including report design and build.
- Highly proficient in interpreting data and extrapolating trends, in a Mobile & Digital environment.
- Able to synthesise information from a variety of sources and translate metrics into actionable recommendations to improve performance.
- Proven commercial awareness and knowledge of the digital channels and their use in a retail multi‑channel business; knowledge of digital objectives (service/sales etc), website metrics and usability.
- Staying abreast of the latest developments in sourcing insight and the opportunities these present to Nationwide, including looking to new tools, approaches and data to answer questions beyond what the current toolset alone can do.
