Are you looking for an opportunity to influence the future of everyday banking? As a Senior Manager within Current Accounts, you'll play a key role in shaping the strategic direction of one of the Society's most important product areas during a period of significant transformation. As we continue to simplify, integrate and grow our banking proposition, you'll help drive the decisions that will define the future current account experience for millions of members, ensuring the right outcomes for members, colleagues and the Society.
Leading the Current Accounts Integration team, you'll be at the forefront of shaping how our current account proposition evolves. Bringing deep current account product expertise, you'll drive critical integration and migration decisions, influence senior stakeholders and provide clear direction through complexity and change. You'll lead a team of product specialists and work collaboratively across the Society to ensure our future proposition delivers strong member outcomes, supports our long-term strategy and achieves commercial success.
We're looking for an established leader who can hit the ground running, combining outstanding people leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity and competing priorities. If you're passionate about current accounts, thrive on making strategic decisions and want to leave a lasting impact on the future of everyday banking, we'd love to hear from you.
We are happy to consider flexible working approaches to help you perform at your best.
The working hours (per week) for this role can be between 30 and 35 hours.
At Nationwide we offer hybrid working wherever possible. More rewarding relationships are supported through our hybrid approach, bringing colleagues together across our UK wide estate, whilst also supporting generous access to home working. What you’ll be doing
As a Senior Manager, you'll play a leading role in shaping the future of our current account proposition during a period of significant transformation. You'll define the strategic direction for Current Accounts within the Society's integration agenda, assessing opportunities, propositions and design decisions to balance member outcomes, commercial objectives, operational considerations and risk. Acting as a subject matter expert across both Nationwide and Virgin Money current account propositions, you'll identify opportunities, risks and trade-offs while helping shape our future-state offering.
Working closely with stakeholders across Technology, Operations, Risk, Legal, Compliance, Finance and Customer teams, you'll influence key decisions across integration workstreams and provide expert recommendations to senior leaders and governance forums. You'll assess proposition, pricing, servicing and customer journey options, evaluate customer, commercial, operational and regulatory impacts, and develop robust business cases that support investment and prioritisation decisions while ensuring alignment with our long-term strategy.
Alongside this, you'll lead and develop a team of product specialists, creating a high-performing environment built on accountability, confidence and continuous growth. By building strong relationships across the Society and maintaining deep knowledge of our products, policies, processes and controls, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering successful integration outcomes and shaping the future of Current Accounts.
