We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Business Analyst to work in the Integration value stream within the Mortgages Chief Information Office (CIO) function. The Mortgages CIO function is responsible for enabling technology solutions that support our mortgage business, putting customers and colleagues at the heart of everything we do.

In this hands-on Senior Business Analyst role, you’ll be based in the Integration value stream, where you will collaborate with and influence senior stakeholders, designing and delivering business solutions that add significant value to achieve business success and help us meet our customer needs.

A key priority for this role is your ability to roll your sleeves up and work alongside your team, partnering with other change roles to ensure the full breadth of change is understood, the design meets requirements, dependencies are identified, and the business analysis approach and artefacts are planned and delivered with the required insight incorporated.

With relevant experience under your belt, you’ll use your business analysis or solution design knowledge to identify solutions and approaches that achieve the best business outcomes, influencing technology and business decisions with confidence and innovation, while considering any external factors and dependencies.

You will be responsible for task managing Business Analysts, ensuring that their work is estimated, scheduled, prioritised, and meets quality expectations. You will use your strong communication skills to engage with diverse change team participants and establish influential relationships with business stakeholders and the leadership team. As the team grows, you may also be required to line manage Business Analysts.

You’ll use your own initiative in this role and will be expected to work with a proactive mindset, aiming to identify, escalate, and resolve issues and risks. As a Senior Business Analyst, you’ll strive for continuous improvement in your work and coach your team on using best practice techniques.

We need somebody who has/is:

  • Experience at delivering, prioritising, sequencing and sizing Business Analysis activities
  • Proven analytical skills in defining business outcomes, business requirements, process modelling, operational designs, target operating models and supporting end-to-end delivery for a diverse range of user needs
  • Adept at problem identification and resolution, providing meaningful insight and recommendations to facilitate solution discussions
  • A good understanding of Nationwide’s compliance, governance and change deliverables
  • An understanding of Nationwide’s Products & Services, and their importance in delivering our Blueprint
  • The ability to confidently communicate; with the ability to present information to senior stakeholders reporting on progress, blockers and challenges
  • Proven task and line management experience
  • The ability to accommodate differing needs of multi-disciplined and geographically dispersed teams, consisting of internal and external resources e.g. Third-party suppliers, remote colleagues and contractors
  • Experience and broad knowledge of technology, digital experience design, business operational models, along with knowledge of working with APIs and/or data analysis
