Description

We’re looking for a hands-on Feature .Net Team Lead to join our Credit Risk engineering team. You’ll lead a feature team delivering high-quality, cloud-native services that support credit decisioning across a range of products, while ensuring strong engineering standards and alignment with platform guardrails.

You’ll be part of our Credit Risk engineering team, working on a strategic platform that enables responsible lending decisions across mortgages, credit cards, current accounts, loans, and emerging business banking capabilities.

In this role, you’ll combine hands-on development with feature team leadership. You’ll be responsible for ensuring your team delivers well-designed, scalable and high-quality solutions aligned with enterprise architecture and engineering standards. You’ll play a key role in translating technical designs into working software, driving engineering best practices, and maintaining delivery momentum within your feature area.

You will work closely with other engineers, architects, and product teams, contributing to a collaborative environment that supports continuous improvement and reliable delivery

We are happy to consider flexible working approaches to help you perform at your best.

At Nationwide we offer hybrid working wherever possible. More rewarding relationships are supported through our hybrid approach, bringing colleagues together across our UK wide estate, whilst also supporting generous access to home working. We value our time in the office to solve problems, to learn, and to feel connected.

For this job, you'll spend at least two days per week, or if part-time, you'll spend 40% of your working time, based at either our Swindon office. If your application is successful, your hiring manager will provide further details on how this works. You can also find out more about our approach to hybrid working here.

Whilst these locations are where we are primarily looking to fill the role, if you’re an internal applicant based in a different location, we would welcome your application and if successful, your hiring manager will provide further details on how this could work for this specific role.

Throughout the day, you will review code, support team members with technical challenges, and ensure everyone follows agreed standards and ways of working. You will also work with data systems and make sure changes are delivered smoothly through the release process. Alongside this, you will stay in close contact with stakeholders to keep work on track and deliver features on time.
