This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Invoice team, which is a small specialist team within Business Banking. We provide a wide range of businesses with working capital support to aid cash flow and growth. You will play a key role in keeping the Society safe and in supporting our existing Invoice Finance customers and Invoice Finance Relationship Managers. Responsibilities

  • In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to learn about all aspects of Invoice Finance and associated risk management whilst assisting Invoice Finance Relationship Managers with the onboarding of new Invoice Finance customers.
  • You’ll complete timely and accurate processing of CHAPS and currency payments, and deal with general administration relating to Invoice Finance facilities.
  • A critical part of the role will include processing customers’ month-end sales ledger reconciliation returns as part of our wider risk management strategy to help keep us safe.
  • You’ll be calculating and updating reserves to ensure accurate funding is available to our customers and interacting with customers for prompt query resolution.
  • Working with various banking teams, such as Payment Operations & Finance, you’ll challenge, improve, and streamline existing processes whilst handling multiple tasks and prioritising workload.

About you

  • Demonstrable analytical skills with experience working within a finance/accounts team.
  • Ability to learn quickly and able to work as part of a team.
  • Experience of dealing directly with customers either via email or by telephone.
  • Diligence & accuracy.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • A desire to learn and develop.
  • A self-starter, well organised, and able to work independently on complex tasks and deliver high-quality results.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced change environment.
  • Experience of Invoice Finance or Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable.
  • IT literate with working experience of using MS Office packages, including MS Excel.
