We’re looking for a Change Consultant to join our Delivery team, where you’ll play a key role in delivering impactful, end-to-end business change that supports our organisational priorities. This is a fast-paced, dynamic environment where no two days are the same. You’ll work across people change delivery, helping to shape, plan and deliver change that improves how we operate and supports better outcomes for colleagues and customers.
You’ll work alongside Change Managers, Senior Change Managers, and business stakeholders to deliver people strategy change across the full lifecycle, from early-stage planning and impact assessments through to implementation and embedding. In this role, you’ll primarily support work streams within change programmes, contributing to the successful delivery of outcomes by bringing structure, insight, and pace to complex and evolving priorities. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys solving complex problems, and can confidently navigate changing priorities.
This is a 12-month secondment opportunity. At Nationwide, we offer hybrid working wherever possible. More rewarding relationships are supported through our hybrid approach, bringing colleagues together across our UK-wide estate, whilst also supporting generous access to home working. We value our time in the office to solve problems, to learn, and to feel connected. For this job, you'll be assigned to our nearest regional hub. There will be a need to regularly connect with colleagues for collaboration events in one of our office sites. This is anticipated to be fortnightly in London.
If your application is successful, your hiring manager will provide further details on how this works. Nationwide is committed to the redeployment of our employees impacted by change, as such applications for redeployment candidates will be prioritised in this recruitment process. If you’re a colleague on long-term absence (for example, on parental leave) or a temporary worker, please use your personal email address to submit an application.
ResponsibilitiesYou will support the delivery of change work streams across the full change lifecycle, from planning through to implementation and embedding. You will be working with business teams to impact assess how change affects people, processes, and ways of working. You will collaborate across teams to solve problems, remove blockers, and respond to changing priorities, ensuring delivery at pace. This will consist of shaping and delivering business readiness activities, including communications and implementation planning, while applying change frameworks and methodologies to ensure structured, consistent delivery.
You will also support the identification and management of risks, issues, and dependencies, helping to keep delivery on track while working with stakeholders to gather requirements, test approaches, and support the successful adoption of change using data and insights to track progress and inform decisions, ensuring change is landing effectively.
About youWe’re looking for someone who brings change fundamentals and a pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset. You’ll have:
- An understanding of change management frameworks, processes, and end-to-end lifecycle delivery
- Experience supporting change delivery in a complex, fast-paced environment with competing priorities
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with confidence to work with and influence a range of stakeholders, building strong relationships quickly
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think laterally and make sound decisions at pace
- The ability to work through ambiguity, bringing structure and clarity where it doesn’t yet exist
- Excellent planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple demands simultaneously
- A collaborative approach and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Good analytical capability, with experience using data to generate insights and support decision making
