As a Campaigns Assistant within the Integrated Communications team, you will work within our Group Customer & Communications helping with the delivery of cohesive, multi-channel communications and campaigns across owned, earned, paid, and social media channels. You’ll be part of a creative team responsible for managing and growing Nationwide’s brand across all platforms. The team leads how the brand looks, sounds, and connects with customers, employees, and the wider public. Made up of over 20 specialists, the team covers a wide range of areas including brand management, social media, content creation, campaign management, design, and integrated and employer communications.
If successful, you’ll gain exposure to multiple areas of marketing and communications, working collaboratively with experts across different disciplines and supporting projects that reach millions. We are happy to consider flexible working approaches to help you perform at your best. At Nationwide we offer hybrid working wherever possible. More rewarding relationships are supported through our hybrid approach, bringing colleagues together across our UK wide estate, whilst also supporting generous access to home working. We value our time in the office to solve problems, to learn, and to feel connected. For this job, you'll spend at least two days per week, or if part-time, you'll spend 40% of your working time, based at either our Swindon or London office.
In this role, you’ll support the planning and delivery of integrated communications and campaigns across Group Customer & Communications, helping to bring consistent, joined‑up activity to life across multiple channels. You’ll work closely with campaign leads and specialists to coordinate campaign activity, track progress, and support delivery from briefing through to launch. You’ll play a hands‑on role in supporting influencer activity, carrying out brand safety checks, liaising with agencies, and helping to ensure activity aligns with brand and regulatory expectations. Day-to-day, you’ll work with internal stakeholders across teams to support message alignment and smooth delivery, building strong working relationships and keeping activity on track. You’ll also be responsible for organising and managing meeting logistics, including setting up sessions, preparing agendas, capturing actions and minutes, and following up with stakeholders.
This is a varied role that will give you exposure to different disciplines across marketing and communications while helping you build a strong foundation in integrated campaign delivery.
For this role, you will have:
- Proven written and verbal communication skills, with examples of producing clear, accurate content for different audiences, such as social media posts, campaign updates, internal communications, or briefing documents
- Strong attention to detail, demonstrated through quality‑focused work such as proof‑checking content, managing approvals, or following brand and compliance guidelines
- Experience using social media platforms in a professional or campaign context, with evidence of supporting or delivering social media or influencer activity
- Previous experience supporting marketing campaigns, including coordination, tracking, or reporting
- The ability to manage multiple tasks or projects simultaneously, supported by examples of prioritising deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
- Experience working collaboratively with different stakeholders, showing how you have supported shared outcomes across teams or projects
- A problem‑solving approach, with examples of identifying issues, proposing solutions, and following through to resolution
- Experience coordinating meetings, including organising logistics, preparing agendas, capturing minutes, and following up on actions
- Previous experience in a marketing, communications, PR, or related role, whether through work experience, internships, placements, or early career roles
- Evidence of creative contribution, such as generating ideas, supporting campaign concepts, or improving existing activity based on insight or feedback
