Our operating model combines category alignment with strong business partnering, focused on achieving business and member value enabled by our Strategy & Performance team.

As part of Nationwide's Procurement transformation, we are looking for a highly capable and ambitious Procurement MI & Insights Manager to play a critical role in delivering data-driven insights that empower our Procurement team. This role will focus on generating accurate, relevant, and actionable MI and insights, leveraging the Nationwide Data Lake and advanced analytics tools to support decision-making, manage risk, and drive process improvements.

You will work closely with the Senior Manager to execute the strategic roadmap for procurement analytics, while developing your leadership and strategic thinking skills. We are happy to consider flexible working approaches to help you perform at your best. At Nationwide we offer hybrid working wherever possible. More rewarding relationships are supported through our hybrid approach, bringing colleagues together across our UK wide estate, whilst also supporting generous access to home working.

We value our time in the office to solve problems, to learn, and to feel connected. For this job you'll spend at least two days per week, or if part time you'll spend 40% of your working time, based at either our London, Swindon or Glasgow office. If your application is successful, your hiring manager will provide further details on how this works.

You will own the delivery of procurement MI and insights, ensuring outputs are timely, accurate, and aligned with business needs. Using the Nationwide Data Lake and BI tools, you will produce dashboards, reports, and analytics that enable informed decision-making. By utilising your analytical skills you will also support the development of advanced analytics techniques, including predictive modelling and AI-driven insights, while monitoring emerging trends to bring innovation to the team.

As well as having responsibility to own and implement data governance frameworks that ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Additionally, you'll be collaborating with stakeholders and will be key to translating requirements into actionable insights, alongside contributing to knowledge management and leading key initiatives.

As a minimum, you will have:

  • Strong experience in data analytics, MI generation, and business intelligence within a complex organisation
  • Proficiency in data platforms, visualisation tools, and advanced analytics techniques
  • Understanding of procurement processes and how data can drive value and efficiency
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality output under pressure
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ambition and the capability to progress into a senior leadership role, with a proactive approach to learning and development
  • Awareness of emerging technologies, particularly AI, and their application in analytics

Our customer first behaviours put customers and members at the heart of how we work together. They are the set of behaviours that every colleague needs to display, in every role:

  • Feel what customers feel: We step into our customers' shoes, using their feedback and insights to empathise with them and to understand their needs, so that every decision we make starts and finishes with our customers in mind.
  • Say it straight: We are brave in speaking out and saying what we think – we're honest and direct with good intent, openly sharing diverse perspectives to reach the best conclusions and using language everyone can understand.
  • Push for better: We don't settle for mediocrity, we challenge the status quo, taking responsibility for continuous improvement and personal development.
  • Get it done: We prioritise what will have the greatest impact, we are decisive, and we take accountability for delivering brilliant customer outcomes.

You can strengthen your application by showing how our customer first behaviours resonate with you, and where you may have already demonstrated these.
