Join Nationwide’s MIS Analytics team as a Senior MI Analyst and play a pivotal role in transforming how we manage and deliver data across our Collections & Recoveries function. This is a high-impact opportunity to contribute from day one, supporting a major new initiative that will significantly expand our data and reporting capabilities.

What you’ll be doing

Nationwide is undergoing an exciting transformation in how we manage and deliver data. We're transitioning to SAS Viya and embracing the power of our new Lakehouse architecture on Databricks. This is your chance to be part of a forward-thinking team shaping the future of modern data analytics in financial services

You'll be:

  • Designing and leading the development of automated reporting and dashboards using SAS (Viya and Enterprise Guide) and Power BI
  • Translating complex business needs into robust, scalable data-driven solutions
  • Delivering high-quality, insight-driven analytics support both operational and strategic decision-making
  • A subject matter expert on data sources, reporting logic, and performance metrics
  • Collaborating with stakeholders across the business to shape and deliver impactful MI and BI solutions
  • Contributing to our evolving data strategy as we adopt new technologies and platforms

About you

We are looking for an accomplished analyst who possesses the expertise and confidence to take ownership of high-impact projects immediately.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proven expertise in SAS (Viya and/or Enterprise Guide) and Power BI
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with ETL processes
  • Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Deep understanding of relational databases and data modelling
  • Excellent communication skills — able to explain complex data to non-technical stakeholders
  • A proactive, delivery-focused mindset with strong prioritisation skills
